I have just returned from a trip to Durban on to Richards Bay and back to Johannesburg (1700 kilometers)only using Waste Vegetable Oil.
The return trip cost me R457.50 in toll gate fees R60.00 in parking R1716 in hotel costs and R122.50 in fuel (245 liters Scrap vegetable oil) I get my oil for free and put a nominal 0.50 per liter on the filtering costs to cover the cost of electricity and filters.
Total travel costs amounted to R517.50 (tolls and parking) while the fuel costs were R122.50.
Its a wonderful feeling driving past garages and pulling into fuel stops on the highway knowing that the only money coming out of your pocket is for food.
