Can anybody tell me the easiest and best way to filter cooking oil

Hi Dirk what we do is leave the oil to settle for one month and then filter down to 1 micron using a bank of progressively smaller filters starting off at 80 microns and so on down to 1 micron. If you don't want to go that route I have read all sorts of home made ways such as filtering through and old pair of denims. It really depends on you and what sort of efficiency you are after.
